Why are we not allowed to have pictures in front of us when we offer prayers (salat) ?

When you read namaz, there shouldn’t be anybody in front of you, walking or whatever. And why can there be objects in front of you? Of course, if you’re saying your namaz in the open, you can keep some object like a stick or something as a limit for your prayer space. No, I’m saying like a picture or something. Picture, because you do not bow to pictures, because you bow to God.

And because, as I have already told you, we don’t know the shape of God. We can’t see him. So, pictures would detract our attention to wrong things. And will interfere with our concentration of God as without a form, without a shape, but with characters. So, we concentrate on our imagining his attributes rather than on any form or any picture. So, pictures are bad for concentration on God. Right? Yes, thank you.
