Can a child perform Hajj (pilgrimage) before attaining the age of maturity ?

Children who have not yet reached the age of maturity, if they perform hajj accompanied by their parents or relations, would Huzoor kindly explain whether will this be regarded as their hajj or should they perform their hajj later on independently? Yes, when Sharia is not made compulsory, the Sharia laws are not made compulsory for anyone. All his good acts are just voluntary and they are not counted as things performed.

The children below the age of maturity or majority, they are not supposed to act according to the laws, according to many laws of Sharia. Some laws of Sharia are applicable to them, but many others are not. Hajj is one of those which is not applicable, so a thing which is not applicable to you even if you perform, that may go in your favour, generally speaking, you may gain something out of that hajj or Allah may look at you with love and kindness for this act.

But as far as the essential obligation is concerned, you have not performed that. For that you must come to maturity, the age of majority, before it is counted in your favour as something performed.
