Yes, the negotiations have been going on, both here and in America, with the Church. The Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya’s plea was that this discussion would be a futile exercise if it is just between you and us in camera. And we are not interested in that sort of discussion at all. But if you accept to give it publicity and the discussion is held in the sight or hearing of everybody through radio and television, or it is given publicity at the same time, then it is worthwhile and we accepted the challenge.
But after some negotiations, ultimately the things cooled down and they would not come to this, to accept the Ahmadiyya stance, neither here nor in America, and still it is an open invitation. I mean, I don’t use the word challenge, it is rather harsh, but we are inclined very much in fact. We would be honoured and pleased if somebody accepts this and a discussion is held in public.
