These are just, as they call it, zockings, you know. Some people can think and you can’t say you are totally wrong, because anything which has not been defined finally and clearly, it is left open to those who interpret these things. And the principle laid down by the Holy Quran in such situations is that it is for those alone who are given light from Allah to interpret such things clearly and correctly. And again, in another place, the Holy Quran tells us, la yamaswahu illal mutaharoon.
Here again, tahir is not used, the word tahir. Mutahar is used, which means the one who is purified by Allah, by someone else. Not himself, not a purifier of himself, or not a pure person alone, but someone who has been purified. Like al-Mahdi, this is a, you know, what you call ism-mufool. What is the translation of ism-mufool in English, Sheikh Sahib? Any grammarian? No, no, ism-mufool.
Anyway, let’s forget it for the time being. I have explained the meaning anyway. So, it is used passively here. Mutahar is used passively. That shows that if those, for example, mamureen, or their caliphs, or people, the ulema of a community, which are God-fearing and who are in communion with Allah, when they interpret such verses under the guidance of Allah, then the meaning can be acceptable to all, should be acceptable to all. Otherwise, it’s just an individual game. You can try your hand at it, and you may not be right, and you may be true as well. Peace.
