It is mentioned in the Holy Quran regarding honey, milk, fruits, birds and gardens in the heaven. That is similar to those we have in this world. There are other things like animals and fish. What do you mean by similar to those? Similar, because those things will not be the same as we see here, honey is not… You mean dissimilar then? Will be similar. Will be dissimilar. Dissimilar. Yes. Yes.
There are other things like animals and fish which were created for the benefit of the people in this world. I shall be most grateful if Huzoor kindly advise us whether there is any mention of these in the Holy Quran and Ahadith of the Holy Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, that they will also be available in the heaven. You know fish and these birds and all these things are symbols and these symbols have particular associations with certain religions in different stages of development of religion.
Fish has its special association with Judaism. This is why the fish is mentioned in relation to Hazrat Musa’s journey with a pious man. And later on, as you progress, the prize, the symbol of your prize is raised further and higher up. In case of the followers of the Holy Prophet, that is the adherents of Islam, the bird becomes the symbol, which is the highest quality of meat. Also in the tree of evolution, that comes, that is placed in a much higher order. From the fish we enter the world of reptiles and from the reptiles we enter the world of birds, which will gradually progress.
So they also indicate flight, light-heartedness. And also, majority among them live on the very best food. This is why their flesh has a very special quality, which is not shared by other flesh. It has everything that the fish has. Also it has other good qualities of the mammals. And it does not have the defect of other mammals’ meat. Because otherwise it is the very best in a class of edible things. So this should be the reward of the followers of the best religion. It shouldn’t be.
But it will not be in the form of Titir Bhutair and things. You know, it is just symbolic. You don’t know what it would be. Because you cherish these things here in this world, so as symbols they are used to create an interest in the world to come for you.
