Questioner: Which Prophets came in the time of Qaum-e-Aad and Qaum-e-Samud? Please.

Huzoor (rh): Hazrat Saleh, Hazrat Hud, these are the two names which have been mentioned repeatedly in the Holy Quran. And you seem to read Holy Quran so often. Why are you asking this question?
Questioner: I am asking this because were there two Qaum-e-Aads?
Huzoor (rh): Two Qaum-e-Aads?
Huzoor (rh): Aad-e-Ula and Aad-e-Saniya. Aad was a very large tribe which covered a very large area as well as it is spread in time over many many generations. So it is treated in two phases. A Qaum-e-Aad, a part of Aad appeared in ancient times and got almost to termination point at one place where they were no longer of any significance. Then they rose again. And what happened was that they had denied the Prophet of that time and they were ultimately annihilated by Allah. So those Aad are called Aad-e-Ula. Then Allah forgave them and they started regenerating again and ultimately they rose to a great fame and great power. So that second rise to power of the Qaum-e-Aad is referred to as Aad-e-Saniya. This Aad of the second order. And Hazrat Saleh seems to have come to Aad-e-Saniya? Aad-e-Saniya, yes.
