Why do people sometimes rub or pass their hands over their faces after prayer ?

I don’t know why, I think when they are praying, their breath is falling upon the hands, you know, the palms. So, because praying is good, they think their palms are blessed by that praying. So, it’s just an automatic, natural reaction. That they want to transfer that blessing that the hands have received to the face like this. But it’s not the custom, I mean, it has no religious significance at all.

The Prophet, the founder of Islam, is never described as rubbing his face after prayer, or passing his hands over his face, nor do I do this myself, you know, like this. But sometimes, I have also noticed, when I was a child particularly, seeing people around doing this, automatically, you know, I had started this movement. Without doing it consciously, you know, it just happened. But later on, when I realized, I started checking myself.
