This is a general question. A while ago, I noticed that when you were praying, you didn’t use what the orthodox Muslims call the tasbih. They call it something like a rosary. Ah, yes, yes, yes. What is the significance of this? We didn’t use that. Yes, I know that you didn’t use it. Yes. Why? Thank you, thank you. The fact is that we believe that nothing can be added to Islam, nor anything can be subtracted from Islam.
And by Islam we mean the Islam as revealed to the Holy Prophet of Islam and as practiced by the Holy Prophet of Islam. Because it was completed and perfected in his time, and his was the best example left for the entire world for all times to come. So we are very careful not to add to the sunnah of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ and of those who followed him. We do not see any reference whatsoever of the Holy Prophet of Islam ever carrying that tasbih or that string with beads, or any caliph of his or any companion of his ever having done that.
So this is a latter-day innovation which truly does not belong to Islam. So suffice to us is the most beautiful conduct and example of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ, his caliphs and his companions.
