Is it permissible to read the Eid prayer more than one time in the mosque due to lack of space or some special circumstances ?

Very often the Eid prayer is said more than once due to lack of space in the place of prayer or for some other reasons. As I think, in both cases the matter is of exceptions and not of a regular basis, that prayers could be said more than once. Huzoor’s guidance is humbly requested in both these cases. I had written that, Huzoor. You had written that but I have already answered this, haven’t I? One Huzoor has answered. Your question followed my answer. It didn’t precede it.

No, I ask the permission to read what I have written as a question but now one part was answered already. Now the second part regarding Eid prayer is still… Eid prayer, this is wrong. No two Eids can be said. Eid prayer is not like the five daily compulsory prayers. It is a completely different institution and it can be said only once. And if you miss it, you don’t have to say it on your own. I mean, this is not something compulsory to the extent that when you miss the Eid, you should still say your own Eid individually.

There is no such thing. So when you missed, you have missed, finished. Now Huzoor, I have got with me a cutting from the Daily Junk where it says that in the same place it was said… No, but we are not concerned. I am not answerable to the behavior of everybody else. I am telling you the correct way of doing things according to Islam, according to the teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the holy founder of Islam, peace be upon him. So you want me to defend the case of such people as have deviated from the path of tradition and instructions of the Holy Quran. Why should I? Ask them.

So the first part I have answered, the second part you should ask those people about whom you read in the news, right? Now I am clear with Huzoor’s guidance that I thought that when there is a little space in a place… No, no, there is no question of space, shortage of space, because Eid prayers are said outside the mosques, in the open.

Because it is understood that ordinary mosques which are built for specific needs of a small area could not be sufficient to meet the requirements of a much larger area where normally so many mosques are situated. So obviously no Eid could be said in a mosque because Eid covers a much larger area of people and so it is said in the open spaces, there is no shortage of room.
