Is there any concept of an enemy of God in the Quran ?

Questioner:  There is any concept like an enemy of God in religion? An enemy of God in religion. If there’s any concept like that, like an enemy of God.

Huzoor: Yes, the Holy Quran mentions it.

Questioner: And then, if it’s in religion, then the reference to that in the Holy Quran please Huzoor

Huzoor: Well, I don’t remember the reference, but the Holy Quran mentions this. That there are people who are enemies to the religion of God, to God and to His prophets. And also to Jibreel. All these are mentioned in the Holy Quran. Enemies in the sense they are hostile to whatever is attributed to God and even to the concept of God, in fact. Or to his prophets and all that. So, what is intriguing about it?

Questioner:  What I really do not understand is that there could be an enemy of religion or enemy of the prophets of God. Enemy to the teachings. But that somebody being enemy of God himself.

Huzoor: You know, only those people can be called enemies of God who do not believe in God. So, here the word God is used as a concept. So, because they do. Otherwise, if somebody believes in God, he can’t be enemy of God at all. You’re right there. But those who do not believe in God, they hate the very idea of God. The concept of God. They wage wars against the beliefs in God. So, today, most of the world today is enemy of God. Because they try to obliterate the very name of God. And they want the world to be turned into atheists. So, what else is enmity if this is not? You know, when you say people love idols and partners with Allah, it is the opposite of the situation. There are no such things in existence at all. What do they love? Why doesn’t this expression intrigue you then?

The imaginary gods do not exist. Yet when you read that people love such imaginary gods, it doesn’t bother you at all. But in reality, those things who do not exist cannot be loved. So, if a god does not exist in view of somebody, he should not be hated. But both are true. People can love imaginary gods and people can hate imaginary gods. According to them, he is an imaginary god.
