Questioner: One of the Christian ladies, she appeared on TV, who is married to a Muslim who is in Egypt at the moment. They went on holidays and the two children were actually detained by the parents of the Muslim man. And of course she returned back to this country with her boy. And she appeared on TV and she also said that none of the Muslim person has approached me. And particularly she was told while she was in Egypt that according to the Muslim law, Muslim children cannot be brought up by a Christian mother.
And she wanted some sort of explanation as to somebody could come back to her and explain whether there is such a law. And of course she wanted more guidance on that. Huzoor, what is the Islamic guidance on that?

Questioner: Huzoor, maybe a more elaborate answer.
Huzoor (rh): You know when the Holy Quran categorically permits Muslim men to marry Christian women, how can you expect this to happen? It directly violates this chronic injunction. So whoever claims that the Holy Quran does not permit Muslim children to be brought up by Christian mothers, is defying this statement of the Holy Quran. When it permits Muslim men to marry Christian ladies, obviously they would bring up their own children.
