Is a Muslim permitted to eat the flesh of a pig if one’s survival depended upon it?

Questioner: If any Ahmadi Muslim hadn’t eaten food for many days or was starving and the only food to eat was that of a pig, which is haram, would he be able to eat it?

Huzoor (rh): Yes, the Holy Qur’an says it in so many words. Not only Ahmadi Muslim, any Muslim, Wahabi Muslim or Sunni Muslim or Shia Muslim or whatever you call him, would in fact be under compulsion from Allah to eat that much of pig as is necessary to save his life or her life. But only in that situation where life saving is a must. Not that you don’t like beef so you must eat pig. I mean that sort of thing is not acceptable.
