Huzoor (rh): It may mean war and other trepidations, yes.
Questioner: So I remember a tradition which is related in the Hadith.
Huzoor (rh): Yes, please quote.
Questioner: In the starting verses of Surah Al-Hajj, which is related when these verses were revealed,Huzoor was in a journey with his companions and it was the time, you see, at night these verses were revealed. SoHuzoor called all the companions and told them that this is the revelation which I have received from God. So all the companions were very fearful and they forgot eating and all about journey. And they started weeping and praying to God. They thought that it will happen now.
Huzoor (rh):Literally, like, you know, as I have described in the time of Masih Maud (as), the first audience understood it to be a little expression and about to happen very soon, you know. So that is exactly what happened in the lifetime ofHuzoor-e-Akram.
Questioner: So until it was morning,Huzoor again called all the companions. And asked, do you know when it will happen? So Sahaba said,
Huzoor (rh): Allah and His Messenger know better.
Questioner: SoHuzoor-e-Akram sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, it will happen when Allah will ask Adam that give the part of hell from your progeny. So Hazrat Adam alaihi sallam will ask, what is the part of hell from my progeny? Share of hell. Share of hell. So Allah will say 999 from 1000. So again, the companions were very feared. So someone asked, who will be the one which will be saved from hell? So Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam replied, when Yajuj and Majuj will appear, it will happen at that time. And the one who will be saved, that will be from you. From you. That will be saved, that will be from you. So from the companions of the Holy Prophet. So as I understand, in this age…
Huzoor (rh): Incidentally, you have given me some very interesting facts to ponder regarding the number 9999. 999. 999 per 1000. Maulana Maududi has also mentioned this figure and described the state of Muslims to be such that out of every 1000, 999 are practically not Muslims. You see? I was not sure, this is why I wanted to find out, I was not sure whether he used the word out of 10,000, 9000 some, or out of 1,000, 999. If he has mentioned 10,000, 1,000, Maulana Maududi has mentioned this. So he has pinpointed the time of the fulfilment of that tradition. Very interesting thing, that it’s not just a chance, this seems to be an ordained thing, that one of the bitterest enemies of Ahmadiyyat had to give exactly the same figure, which was predicted by the Holy Prophet ﷺ, that so many out of a thousand would be fit food for hell, and only one would be left out. Huzoor(rh): That is what I mean. The age has been fixed by a maulvi of today, and a worldly-wide known maulvi is known in the Arab world as well as in other Asian regions, and even in the West, in America. Maulana Maududi’s name is a well-known name now, so you can quote him. Look here, this prediction was made 1400 years ago, and here is one of the well-known scholars of the modern times. He says this is the time, without referring to it, that this is the state of affairs as far as the Muslims are concerned. So the prophecy of Allah has been fulfilled verbatim, word for word in this age. So this should be the age when this was fulfilled. According to Maulana Maududi, it was not fulfilled a hundred years before that, or two hundred years before that. He is describing his own age from his personal experience. So that is the age when the Messiah, peace be upon him, should have appeared. And that is where he has appeared. And so Zalzalah, of course you are right, that belongs to an event of that age.
