Why don’t Muslims believe in the Trinity of God as the Christians do?

Questioner: She asked why Muslims don’t believe in everything that Christians do, since Jesus, peace be upon him, has been said to be a true prophet in Islam. I tried to answer that question. Then I asked her why Christians don’t believe in one God, as the Jews do, for the same reason. She said that they believe in one God, but in different forms. She said that the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost are the same God, just as water, ice and water vapour is one element.

Huzoor (rh): Now this is a fallacy. This is an attempt to deceive others. It is not the same thing. The water, when it is ice, the same mass of water, when it is ice, it is not vapour, and it is not liquid form. It is only ice. So if there was a period in the history of God when he was Son, then Father should have completely disappeared. And they do not believe in that. They should be honest about it. When water becomes liquid, the ice turns into liquid, then there is no existence of the ice at all. It simply ceases to exist. When the liquid turns into vapour, then the liquid ceases to exist. So they believe this existed simultaneously. That is the fallacy about their paradox in their beliefs.
