Questioner: Is there an end to the universe?
Huzoor: Yes the universe is not infinite it is finite both in space and in time so in fact space time are intermingled. Anything limited in space has also to be limited in time so the physicists are now calculating about the age of the universe. Professor Dr. Abdus Salam has his own theory that it is 33 raised to the power of 10 whatever figure it makes is the age of proton.
So when the matter of which the universe consists of is finite, it has an age, so the whole universe has an age and the Holy Qur’an mentions it very clearly and specifically, that a time would come when the entire universe will be rolled up like the rolling up of scrolls by scribes and it will be wrapped up and we’ll know more then Allah will restart the whole process right.
